The reason I bought this was because John Grisham is one of my favourite authors. I have most of his books. I love reading books and watching TV drama series about law but surprisingly, I have not watched any film that was based from his books. Having the member card of Popular Bookstore, I got this book for 20% off the original price. Yay! Hehehe...
Ford County is a novel with seven different stories, it is like a compilation of seven short stories with each story written for almost 50 pages. The Washington Post's tagline: "You absolutely can't stop reading." is an accurate statement as I finished it in one sitting.
What I like about the book is the style of writing where Grisham led his readers straight into the story without any lengthy introduction. You will find yourself having questions in your head after you finished reading each story that will make you ponder what if the characters made a different choice, what would the outcome be like at the end? If you want a good bedtime storybook, I recommend this as you can read one story each night before you sleep.
